12/25/2014 0 Comments Castiel flash driveThis was what I ended up with for the supernatural flash drive. I collected seasons one and two, plus the music from the 200th episode (which was awesome, btw) 12/25/2014 0 Comments Star Trek Quiet Book. Complete!!I got this idea from another blog. I personalized it, and finally got it finished. I learned a few things 1) I hate hand stitching 2) hot glue is awesome 3) permanent marker isn't good for writing on felt 4) quiet books shouldn't be double sided 12/25/2014 0 Comments Dr who bikeThe bike has several flaws, but they're not noticeable unless I point them out. My daughter seems to like it, so I'm happy! I took a roll of pilsbury biscuit dough. Cut the top third or so off and pressed the bigger half into a muffin tin. Then I filled them with leftovers. the first time I used cornbread biscuits, stuffing, turkey, green bean casserole and gravy. The second time I used home style biscuits, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and gravy. I pressed the tops back on, poked a hole in the top, then baked it for 20 min at 350. I think. I can't recall exactly, but just checked for golden brown. It was funner than the same ol' way to serve leftovers. 12/7/2014 0 Comments Picking out glassesI'm going to wait until next month to get new glasses, but I had some fun trying them on and I think I've found a few favorites. 12/7/2014 0 Comments Christmas fabric garlandI started working on this a while back. It ended up going through several iterations before landing on this. I could give you a list of what didn't ended up working. But it turned out pretty nice. All the fabric edges are raw. The fabric was more flexible left alone, and I figure I'm not washing it anyways. I took a 2 inch strip of fleece and cut slits in it every 1 inch or so, then pulled the fabric through. I cut varying lengths and widths. I used twist ties to join fabrics on the back side, but I probably could have stitched them together. Then I added my fleece roses and "scarf" strips with hot glue. I also had a square of crochet that I sewed into tubes and weaved in. I think it turned out pretty nice. Like an ugly sweater, happy but tidy, sweet crafty Christmas. I wish I had ornaments to match. 12/7/2014 0 Comments Breakfast sandwichI made myself this breakfast sandwich for lunch today, and I thought I'd share. I could eat these every day, every meal. This one is sliced ham, a scrambled egg, cheddar, on toasted buttermilk bread with mayo. Aw yeah. I see this sandwich and I'm all: 12/6/2014 1 Comment Drink your water!Eating right. Working out. Drinking water. The three go together like salt, pepper and cumin. I repurposed a milk jug to store my water in, and gave it a doodle to snazz it up. I DRINK MY WATER! |
